Dracula’s Dentures

These are delicious and fun, and let’s face it–they look really cool.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes
Yields: Approximately 12 dentures

Ingredients:

For the Cookies:

  • 1/2 cup cannabis-infused butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

For the Denture Assembly:

  • 24 marshmallows, cut in half
  • 48 sliced almonds
  • Red frosting (for “bloody” effect)

Instructions:

Cookies:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  1. Cream Butter and Sugars:
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the cannabis-infused butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  1. Add Egg and Vanilla:
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  1. Combine Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
  1. Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  1. Chill Dough (Optional):
  • For easier handling, you can chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  1. Form Cookies:
  • Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets. Press them down slightly to flatten.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Denture Assembly:

  1. Assemble the Dentures:
  • Match up pairs of cookies to create the top and bottom of the dentures.
  • On the flat side of one cookie, apply a small amount of red frosting along the edges.
  • Press marshmallow halves onto the frosting to create “teeth.” Arrange almond slices between the marshmallows to complete the look.
  • Place the matching cookie on top to create the dentures, with the rounded side facing out.
  • Repeat this process for the remaining cookies.
  1. Add Red “Blood”:
  • Use red frosting to add “bloody” effects around the teeth and on the edges of the cookies.

What’s not to love about a double stack of cookies, marshmallows, and a little scarlet-hued frosting?

Witches Hats and Broomsticks

This recipe is less homemade and more “assembled.” But if you are hosting a Halloween bash, these adorable sweets will look perfect on a platter! It’s also a nice option for a low-dose treat since the broomsticks are not infused, and the witches’ hats will have as much THC as you choose.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Yields: Approximately 12 sets of treats

Ingredients:

For the Broomsticks:

  • 12 mini-sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • 12 small pretzel sticks

For the Cannabis-infused Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup cannabis-infused butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk (adjust for desired consistency)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Orange or green food coloring (optional, for Halloween theme)

For the Witches Hats:

  • 12 small round chocolate-covered cookies or peppermint patties
  • 12 Hershey’s chocolate kisses

Instructions:

You may end up with extra frosting, which you can use for other Halloween-inspired treats, or freeze for another time.

Cannabis-Infused Frosting:

  1. Cream the Cannabis Butter:
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cannabis-infused butter until creamy and smooth.
  1. Add Powdered Sugar:
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, about 1/2 cup at a time, and beat until well incorporated after each addition.
  1. Adjust Consistency:
  • Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, and continue to beat until you reach your desired frosting consistency. Some may prefer a thicker frosting, while others may prefer it a bit softer.
  1. Flavor and Color:
  • Mix in the vanilla extract for flavor. If you want a Halloween-themed color, add a few drops of orange or green food coloring and mix until well distributed.

Witches Hats and Broomsticks:

  1. Prepare the Broomsticks:
  • Unwrap the mini-sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and set them aside.
  • Take a small pretzel stick and insert it into the top of each Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, forming the broomstick handle.
  1. Prepare the Cannabis-Infused Witches Hats:
  • Place the small round chocolate-covered cookies or peppermint patties on a clean surface.
  • Using the cannabis-infused frosting, apply a small amount to the flat side of a Hershey’s kiss.
  • Gently press the Hershey’s kiss onto the center of the cookie or peppermint patty, creating the witch’s hat.
  • Allow the frosting to set.
  1. Assemble and Serve:
  • Arrange the completed Cannabis-Infused Witches Hats and Broomsticks on a serving platter, alternating between the two treats.
  • If desired, you can add additional details using the frosting, such as a hatband or buckle.

These treats offer a delightful combination of flavors, a touch of whimsy, and a hint of Halloween magic.

Candy Corn Bark

You are either #teamcandycorn or a part of the group that believes this monstrosity of a candy was a mistake. Don’t worry, we’re only using candy corn as a topping in this recipe! If you still aren’t digging this idea…try this one instead.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup orange candy melts
  • 1 cup candy corn

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Graham Crackers:
  • Break the graham crackers along their perforated lines, resulting in individual squares.
  1. Coat Graham Crackers:
  • Using a pastry brush or spoon, generously coat one side of each graham cracker square with the cannabis-infused butter or oil. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, coated side up.
  1. Melt the Chocolate Chips and Candy Melts:
  • In separate microwave-safe bowls or pans on the stovetop, melt the chips.
  • Stir until smooth.
  1. Spread the Candy:
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the graham crackers.
  1. Add Orange Candy:
  • Drizzle the orange candy melts over the top, creating a random pattern.
  1. Add Candy Corn (Optional):
  • Press whole candy corn gently into the bark for added texture and flavor.
  1. Set and Cool:
  • Allow the bark to cool at room temperature for about 1 hour or until completely hardened.
  1. Break into Pieces:
  • Once fully set, carefully break the bark into bite-sized pieces along the natural lines of the graham crackers.

Candy Corn Bark is a fun, easy treat for folks who aren’t too worried about a precise dosage of THC. Be sure to remind your friends that each piece might contain unequal amounts and to proceed with caution!
