Reproductive Rights are Human Rights

Here at Old Pal, we believe in the power of community and doing the little things to take care of each other. It’s about lifting each other up, sharing high-minded ideas, and supporting all our fellow humans whenever and wherever possible. As a brand, we take great pride in the foundations we’ve created, continually striving to better ourselves and grow as a beacon of positivity, good vibes, and progressive ideas.

For this reason, we proudly stand against the recent decision from the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. Not only does it go against the values that the Old Pal brand is rooted in, but it’s counter to everything that our founders believed in when they came together to start this business. To see our country take such a massive and tragic step backwards is unspeakable and unfathomable.

We love and support the strong women who helped build and nurture this company into what it is and continue to do so every day. We’re grateful to have numerous powerful women in leadership roles throughout the brand, as well as at our dispensary partners around the country.

Not only do we believe in and stand behind these amazing women, we also believe in open access to any and all resources women need in relation to their health. Abortion is healthcare and we’ll do everything we can to fight for this right.

So for all the women out there, we want to take a minute to show our love and gratitude. To stand with you and support you. To lift you up and provide a little spark of hope in these crazy times.

And if you’re in the Old Pal family, we proudly say we’ve got your back. For any Old Pal employee living in a state with restricted abortion access, we will cover any associated travel costs required to get them the care that they deserve.

We believe in people and in their foundational right to make their own decisions, and hope that you will stand with us to lend support where you can. To help you out, we put together a list of resources and organizations you can support or receive support from.

Below are organizations that you can support or receive support from.

Support

National Network of Abortion Funds
The overturning of Roe v. Wade strips away a lot of essential resources for people across the United States. Want to help but not sure where your dollars will have the most impact? This network splits your donation across 90+ abortion funds that provide care ranging from financial assistance, travel, and lodging.

Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project
Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP) is an independent, nonprofit abortion fund. They send urgently-needed financial assistance nationwide to individuals seeking abortion services or emergency contraception.

Keep Our Clinics
58% of abortions are performed by independent abortion clinics, but since 2015, over a third of all independent abortion clinics have been forced to close their doors. Let’s help keep them open. Keep Our Clinics is part of the Abortion Care Network, a non-profitt organization dedicated to uniting voices and protecting access to care.

We also made this special-edition poster all profits from the poster’s sales go directly to WRRAP (Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project). Check the poster out here, or click here learn more about WRRAP.

Access

Shout Your Abortion
Dedicated to normalizing abortion and elevating safe paths to access, regardless of legality. They curate a collection of resources and campaigns from activists throughout the country that provide abortion care.

Travel

The Brigid Alliance
Referral-based service part of an ecosystem of support organizations that provide travel, food, lodging, child care and other logistical support for people seeking abortions. They prioritize clients that are beyond 15 weeks of pregnancy as it’s typically harder and more expensive to find a provider near home.

Elevated Access
Group of volunteer pilots that transport passengers at no cost. They believe everyone deserves access to abortion and gender-affirming care. Elevated Access works directly with support organizations such as Midwest Access Coalition
